By providing a platform and an opportunity to work together, Maîtres du Temps is dedicated to promoting the skilled watchmakers who craft the timepieces and harness their incredible talent. Each Maîtres du Temps wristwatch is classified in Chapters. Chapter One was developed and designed by renowned independent watch-making masters Christophe Claret and Peter Speake-Marin in 2008 and is truly innovative and exclusive in styling and design. The Chapter Two was a collaboration between the renowned independent watch-making masters Peter Speake-Marin and Daniel Roth in 2009. The Chapter Three Reveal was the result of a collaboration between two prominent independent watch-making masters Andreas Strehler and Kari Voutilainen in 2012. This watch, equipped with Caliber SHC03, was developed by Kari Voutilainen with refinements and technical solutions by Andreas Strehler. This is the first movement developed by Voutilainen for a brand other than his own and features the fine finishing that he is renowned for. Andreas Strehler bring his extensive knowledge of horological technology and experience in producing the components to this project, thus ensuring reliability of the mechanism and innovation of the production process. The movement construction allows for the dial to display secret panels that reveal roller displays for the day/night indication at 12 o’ clock and the 24-hour indication at 6 o’ clock. The panels part to reveal the roller display by activating the pusher that’s integrated into the crown. The second time zone and day/ night display are synchronized with the time indication. However, pressing the pusher at 9 o’ clock disengages this synchronization and allowing for a second time zone to be displayed. The present timepiece is a unique piece, as evidenced by the ‘1 of 1’ on the push-piece on the caseband. Unlike regular production pieces, the lugs and caseband of this one-off timepiece features an engraved leaf-wreath pattern in relief on the caseband and lugs, further adding to its exclusivity.
