Founded in 1929, Louis Erard is a watchmaker filled with heritage and history. Selling watches under their own banner since 1931, the brand was eventually acquired in the 1990s before it was later relaunched in 2003, during the independent watchmaking boom of the early 2000s. Since then, Louis Erard is well-established with a strong design language that punches far heavier than its price tag might indicate. As such, Louis Erard’s timepieces are incredibly well-received and sought-after, much like this 2023 release, the La Petite Seconde Metropolis ref. 34248AA6, a collaboration with watch enthusiast and influencer, Amr Sindi, aka The Horophile, whom has gone on to found the independent watchmaker Kollokium along with a group of other watch enthusiasts. Limited to just 59 pieces and made of stainless steel, the La Petite Seconde Metropolis is a 39mm x 12.82mm time-only watch inspired by art deco design language, with a salmon dial boasting a concentric decoration in its center, and a brushed finished along its periphery which houses its Art Deco-inspired Arabic numerals.
