The Watch
One of my “Helen of Troy” watches. Probably in my top 10 of the most beautiful wat he’s I’ve ver owned. She is shatteringly beautiful, it’s a bold statement, but she is quite awesome!
I’m quite sure she is sapphire bevelled crystal, unmarked.
The 14 k Gold Case is immacaulate.
The diamonds are exquisite, the large at the 3 and 9 position, the rest at all the other positions less 6 and 12.
I’m not a diamond expert, but I estimate approximately 1/3 of a carat.
I have studied them under a microscope and cannot see any inclusions.
I estimate they are D to G. Please don’t inform me they are lower? I’m not an expert, but an honest assessment. Plus, one is not going to put inferior diamonds into a solid gold 14k watch Longines watch from the late 1930’s!
Dial Colour: Black
14k solid gold
Wonderful size fitting exactly into that period of time.
Today, a man’s dress watch or for a lady, watch sizes back then were small.
Incredibly rare.
Almost mint condition, that’s something else for a watch of this period.
Boxed, original, some outside fading of the box, understandably.
Serviced some years ago, I gauged roughly when, but she’s been unused.
Running superbly for the last 48 hours.
This watch was one of the watches that rivalled Rolex back then, understandably!
Black face, rare,
Case immaculate
Sapphire crystal, bevelled, immaculate,
Case underside imaculate.
100% authentic and original
Never snags on your double cuffs.
Today unisex.
Diamonds sparkle in the sun.
Fits a large or smaller wrist.
Immaculate condition, mainly through its lack of use in my custodianship living its Longines box in my watch cabinet for all these years.
I’m selling my entire collection gathered over 45 years post retirement so virtually every watch has provenance as it’s been with me, unused, untouched and not harmed.
This Longines is no exception. Condition in any vintage watch is hugely important but when it comes down to spending hard earned money it becomes critical
This Longines watch meets and exceeds the criteria of condition.
It is quite simply stunning and a must have for anybody who loves Omega.
Exquisite design.
Elegant
Classical design.
Fully signed less crown, unsure if signed back then.
Always in vogue.
Massive wrist presence.
Very rare
Fully functioning
A very rare Longines Diamond in 14k Solid Gold like this, in this condition is exceptionally rare.
I don’t really want price suggestions on this watch. You are buying the custodianship of a very rare and exquisite timepiece from one of the world’s greatest manufacturers.
If you feel you must, I’ll of course look at t your suggestion, but please…please… sensible suggestions.
Finally
Thank you for looking. I’m retired now so am always available to answer any further questions you may have.
Most respectfully, as mentioned, do please look at all my other omegas for sale plus my collection exclusively with chrono24.
