Lindbergh The Longines Hour Angle 989.5224 is a faithful homage to one of the most important aviation watches in history, designed in collaboration with the legendary aviator Charles A. Lindbergh. First introduced in 1931 to aid in celestial navigation, the Hour Angle watch provided pilots with a reliable tool to calculate longitude during long-distance flights. This reissue preserves that pioneering spirit with refined craftsmanship and a smaller, wearable case size. This model features a stainless steel case measuring 33mm, a size that enhances its vintage charm and makes it especially versatile for both men and women. The case is accented by a polished bezel and a gold-tone onion crown, evoking the classic pilot’s watch aesthetic of the 1930s. On the caseback, Longines proudly engraves the winged hourglass emblem along with the inscription: “Longines Hour Angle Watch – Designed by Col. Chas A. Lindbergh” .
