Longines Conquest 18k ref. 9025 “Outstanding All Original Condition” Item #3197 Outstanding condition on this vintage, C-1960s Longines Conquest wristwatch in 18k Gold. This watch is a very rare find. Completely original and untouched. When we serviced it all we did to the case is hand clean and than used a polishing cloth just to bring some luster back to the gold. It has been sitting in a collection for decades. This is one the best watches Longines ever made and they spared no expense making it. The 18k gold case measures 35mm and features a screw-on caseback and a Longines signed crown. At the center of the caseback is a wonderful Longines logo with blue and black enameling in perfect, original condition. As you can see in the photos, there is a small scratch on the caseback. That’s it for any sort of damage. It does some light marks from the few times it was worn, but these are minor and certainly don’t take away from the look and feel of this wonderful timepiece. Otherwise the case has never been polished and every surface retains its original factory finish! The movement, cal. 291 with 24 jewels and automatic winding is one of the best in-house movements Longines ever produced. It features an early form of quick-set date were you go past 12pm, the date changes and then go back to about 9pm and back to 12 and the date will change again. Just keep going back and forth until you get to the date you want. Far easier than going around and round until reaching the current date. Now the dial and what a dial. It is made of solid 18k gold and has the most interesting and elaborate dial markers. The ring that surrounds the dial is most interesting and boy does it play with the light hitting it. We took dozens of pictures, but none replicates how wonderful the dial looks in person or on your wrist. Finally, the watch comes on a new top-of-the-line Alligator strap with a signed Longines buckle. Lastly it will come with a period Longines box. A very Rare find!
