Leonidas Chronograph Triple Date pre-Heuer 1940s 18k Valjoux 72C
This watch is one of the rarest timepieces in my collection, a very hard to find a Leonidas from the 40s in all original condition powered by a the super caliber Valjoux 72C. The movement is in amazing condition! It's extremely hard to find one like this!
The case is 18k solid rose gold, the silvered dial with applied gold indexes is absolutely original and never retouched, the gold hands are all original and in excellent condition given the age of this watch. The date hand still has the original red paint on it! It has around 80 years old and it's running excellent, last service was in 12.2022. All Chrono and calendar functions are working as they should.
The case is 35x42mm, it's on an tan ostrich strap with gold plated pin buckle still wearable. The crown and all 4 pushers are all original and in excellent condition!
The watch is signed on the dial and the movement. On the inside back case you can see the 18k poincon and the serial number on the outside.
The case was never polished, the lugs are very sharp, the serial is very visible.
For an 80 years old watch, this one is in amazing condition and ready to wear!
