The watch retains its original dial that never being re-finished. The offered for auction watch is a hard to find big-size 37 mm version of a military Lemania two-pusher chronograph with beautifully shaped lugs and snap case back. The original never restored dial looks striking. The luminous-filled hands and Arabic hour numerals add a hint of military classic to the dial. The name Lemania is always associated with high-quality chronograph movements. Most top-of-the-line brands as Patek, Vacheron, Audemars, Rolex, Omega etc., used Lemania movements for production of their expensive watches. The Lemania chronographs were also popular by pilots and high-rank officers during the Second World War. The Lemania movement 27CH caliber had been choosed by NASA for using in the famous Omega moon watch as a 321 caliber for their space and moon expeditions. This timepiece is equipped with a rare reliable big column-wheel Lemania 15 caliber movement. The pushers serve for all chronograph functions: start, stop and reset to zero. The watch is excellent-running and keeping time with all the chronograph functions working as it should. The photos have been taken of the actual watch offered for sale.
