The case is chrome plated and, as you can see in the pictures, has signs of wear on the side edges and more pronounced on the back of the case The dial is in very good condition. The crystal is plexiglass, with minor signs of wear. I suspect it was replaced at some point, because it is in too good a condition for the age of the watch. The mechanism, Valjoux cal. 7733 works very well, both the time and chronograph parts. It was RECENTLY SERVICED, to be exact on DECEMBER 18. The strap is leather with quick release spring bars.
