Kakishibu is a fermented persimmon extract long used as a natural lacquer. The resulting color is unique—similar to salmon but with a deeper, brownish undertone. 【Case】 Mr. Asaoka focused on the design balance to make the case look as slim as possible. By giving the lower case a sharp, tapered shape, it looks 30% thinner when worn on the wrist. While many chronographs tried this in the past, balancing looks with comfort was always difficult. Mr. Asaoka has overcome this challenge and says this is his ultimate exterior design.
