This is a fine watch from the small Japanese maker Kurono and celebrates the 5th Anniversary of the first Reiwa watch built by Kurono. Kurono only produce watches on a small scale and this limited run produced about 250 watches. The pictures don't really do it justice but the black lacquer dial is exquisite and the lapis green metallic outer ring provides a great pop of colour that catches the light beautifully. Although at 37mm it is the smallest watch I own it doesn't feel lost on my 7"/19.5cm wrist and for me, due to the size it has worked well as a formal watch. But it works in all situations and the black leather strap with the green edging looks great. The case back is signed by Hajime Asaoka who designed the watch. The packaging of the watch is exceptional. The bamboo box contains a beautiful box holding the watch, a large piece of material that the box was originally wrapped in, a perspex block with a side profile technical design of the watch, which itself comes in a wax sealed (unbroken) box, manual, and warranty card (warranty expired). The watch runs well on a Miyota 90S5 and has a 40hr power reserve. Lug width is 20mm. I've owned the watch for about a year and probably worn it on 20 occasions - it is part of a collection I wear on rotation. Due to the limited wear I can't see any noticeable marks or scratches. I have worn it on a different strap so think it has only had one or two wears on the original strap. I bought it from the original owner who purchased it new from Kurono. Full details on the watch can be found on Kurono's website. Note that I have included one picture from Kurono, the remaining pictures are my own.
