A tribute to Japanese refinement." The Kurono Tokyo réserve de Marche "Sensu n.o.s." is part of the Special Projects series, reserved for Hajime Asaoka's most daring and unique creations. This model embodies both traditional Japanese elegance and the rare use of a movement that has become impossible to find. Launched in 2024, this watch derives its uniqueness from a stock of New Old Stock (NOS) Citizen 9134 calibers, acquired by Kurono in 2022. After internal modifications, these movements were renamed 9134PWT and integrated for the first time into a Kurono watch equipped with a power reserve indicator. The exact number of pieces has never been made public, but production was strictly limited to a few hundred pieces—each one unique and unreproducible. ⸻ A dial inspired by the Japanese sensu The blue dial features three different textures: a fan-shaped guilloché pattern for the power reserve indicator at 10 o'clock (inspired by the sensu, the Japanese folding fan), circular graining in the center, and satin finishing around the edge. The 24-hour display at 6 o'clock balances the composition. The hour markers are polished Japanese Kanji ideograms, each representing a quality or virtue. The mirror-polished leaf hands accentuate the Japanese Art Deco aesthetic.
