It is famously used on torii gates, precious urushi, and samurai armor. The 'SHU' is a limited release model, available only at the two Kurono Tokyo salons in Tokyo and Shanghai. It was released in August 2025 and as of December 2025 was sold out in Japan. Kurono Tokyo watches have vintage-inspired designs that are made in Japan and use Japanese movements from Miyota and Seiko.. The 'SHU' uses the Seiko NE86 34 jewels chronograph movement.
