Thanks to Konstantin Chaykin, the popular character from the Russian fairy tale continues his journey into the world of haute horlogerie. The master also embeds an additional meaning into Kolobok’s appearance: in his view, this hero is nothing less than “the first Russian smiley.” The updated Wristmon remains just as round-faced and blue-eyed: the “eyes” are the signature Joker-indication of hours and minutes, while the “smile” serves as the moon phase indicator. For the dial decoration of the “Kolobok 2,” a multilayer lacquer finish with a gradient effect was applied, visually reminiscent of a golden-brown bread crust, further reminding us of the character’s origin. The playful character of this Wristmon is emphasized by the use of glossy lacquer for the eyes, giving them a lively shine and making this watch stand out from the rest of the collection.
