Jean-Antoine LÉPINE - Paris (1720-1814) Three-gold 750‰ chatelaine and collar watch, enriched by three allegorical miniatures featuring putti fishing, with attributes of love, fidelity and abundance. The two main miniatures are rectangular in shape, with openwork chains holding the collar watch with the third miniature on the back, and a watch key and seal on either side. The whole is embellished with floral motifs. The watch features a white enameled dial, Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic numerals for the minutes, bezel probably circled with Jargons (unverified), mechanical cock movement, manual winding with key at 2 o'clock, verge escapement. Dial and movement signed : Lépine in Paris. All in the Louis XVI style, late 18th century. The silver 800‰ attachment spatula. (Very slight lack of enamel at the winding point, a few stones missing from the bezel, the large hand replaced). Total gross weight: 66.80 g - watch ø: 33 mm Jean-Antoine Lépine, received the title of Master Watchmaker in Paris in 1765.
