JAQUET-DROZ Diver’s watch, case no. 781067, circa 1960 An extremely rare and collectible, water-resistant, antimagnetic, automatic, stainless steel diver’s wristwatch with gloss black dial, painted luminous baton, triangular indexes and 12,9,6 Arabic numerals, luminous hands, arrow hour hand, sweep center second, date and rubber strap. Fitted with a Cal. Eta 2472, copper colored finish, self-winding, 25 jewels, shock-absorbers, screwed case back, rotating bi-directional black bezel graduated for 60 units. Dial signed. Diam. 36 mm. Thickness 11.50 mm. The present watch is a collectible diver’s watch by Jaquet Droz. Fresh to the market and well-preserved, the gloss black dial is highly attractive with its very unusual layout, an elongated minute division combined with large painted luminous indexes, giving a very strong presence on the wrist.
