I bought this watch from Vintage London Watches.
As my wife never wears it, we are parting with this magnificent piece.

Jaeger-LeCoultre watches are all about the perfection of their movement, the wonderful aesthetics and the quality of their watch cases. Here you have the absolute certainty that when you buy a Jaeger-LeCoultre, you are buying one of the finest watches available. It is a perfect example with the classic jlc crosshair that simply exudes style, elegance and pure class.
The dial:
The beautifully elegant cream-colored crosshair dial features gold-plated baton hour markers. The crosshair is typical of the Jaeger-LeCoultre style and beautifully emphasizes the symmetry of the dial.
The dial is very simply signed with an applied gold-plated mark "jl", Jaeger-LeCoultre and "Swiss Made". The overall look, as with all Jaeger-LeCoultre models, is one of classic simplicity and elegance. The glass is new and was replaced with a new original as part of the restoration.
The watch case
The two-part 18-carat rose gold case measures 34 mm, excluding the original jl-signed crown.
As with all jlc watch cases, the quality of design, construction and finish is evident. This is a two-piece press-fit construction with an integrated bezel for better water and dust resistance. It is beautifully finished and noticeably more robust and heavier than even the best of its peers.
The case has been carefully inspected, cleaned and lightly polished and is in pristine condition with no scratches, dents, pitting or other marks visible to the naked eye.
As expected, the inside of the case bears the Swiss trademark LeCoultre and the patent Brevet +76929, as well as the Swiss hallmarks 18ct, 18ct 0.750, swiss and the model reference number 2285, with the external serial number 825458A. This number is unique and indicates that the case has not been over-polished. In addition, the case back is full thickness and has never been engraved.
Strap & Buckle
A new, high-quality Sea Blue Crocodile leather strap has been used, which we think complements the watch with a rose gold-plated jlc buckle.
Box and papers
Although there are no original papers for this watch, the reference numbers, markings, signatures and markings for this watch from 1962 match. Detailed information is included with your proof of purchase.
