Its founder, Jacob Arabo, takes its inspiration from the beauty around him while challenging the traditional horological world with avant-garde timepieces. Born in Europe, based in the heart of Manhattan and with his watchmaking activities located in Geneva, Jacob Arabo has a rich and global vision which is reflected in his unique and instantly recognizable creations. Like the precious stones he carefully selects for their beauty and quality, he uses the tourbillon, the most visually captivating complication, to animate some exclusive limited edition timepieces, such as with the present lot.
The visual impact is further developed by two additional complications, the jump hour displayed between 9 and 11 o’clock and the retrograde minutes between 1 and 3 o’clock. The combination of these three complications reflects the motion of time in an intricate yet very readable way. The dial itself is also part of the striking visual effect. Made in translucent blue mineral crystal, it elegantly adds a touch of colour, while enabling the owner to admire the complex movement.
The beautifully finished architectural movement can be also admired through the sapphire display back, which also reveals an additional complication: the power reserve indicator.
The present lot is part of a very limited edition of 36 pieces and is cased in titanium with a contrasting gold crown, further enhancing the presence of this impressive watch.
Offered in excellent condition, this imposing piece is accompanied by its original presentation box and guarantee booklet.
