The Portugieser Yacht Club Chronograph represents the most athletic interpretation of the classic Portugieser design. With its 43.5mm stainless steel case, it brings a more robust and contemporary presence to the collection while retaining the clean dial architecture that defines the Portugieser lineage. Designed with sailing in mind, the dial features a quarter-second scale for precise short-time measurements, making it a practical navigation companion on the water. The chronograph counters are elegantly combined into a single totalizer at 12 o’clock, maintaining symmetry while displaying both hours and minutes. At the heart of the watch is IWC’s manufactured calibre 89361, a sophisticated automatic chronograph movement with a flyback function that allows the chronograph to reset and restart instantly. The movement delivers a 68-hour power reserve and can be admired through the sapphire crystal caseback, which showcases refined finishing, including Côtes de Genève and perlage. Paired with a black rubber strap, the watch embraces a sporty character that complements its maritime inspiration, offering durability and comfort whether worn on deck or in everyday settings.
