IWC`s inaugural purpose-built pilot`s watch debuted in 1936, marking the inception of a legacy that would later be solidified with the MOD commissioned Mark X nearly a decade later; the official commencement of the Mark series. This timepiece was meticulously designed to meet stringent military requirements, emphasizing robustness and a clear dial layout. This version of the Pilot`s Chronograph, reference IW377710, comes in an ergonomic brushed 42mm stainless steel case with smooth satin bezel. The clean black dial features large white luminous contrasting Arabic numerals and matching sabre hands, as well as triple chronograph sub-dials at 12/6/9 with contrasting white printed numerals for measuring up to 12 hours. The dial is completed by a date aperture at 3 o`clock and protected by a domed sapphire crystal glass, with the watch fitted with a screwdown crown to ensure its water resistance of 6atm (60m/196ft). Driven by the automatic calibre 79320 chronograph movement and coming supplied on a brushed stainless steel 5-piece bracelet with folding clasp. Originally sold in February 2023 and in mint condition, supplied with its original inner and outer box, cleaning cloth, guarantee booklet, instruction booklet and international warranty card.
