IWC Mark X WWII 'Dirty Dozen' Military issue stainless steel gentleman's wristwatch, signed black dial with broad Military arrow, Arabic numerals, outer minute track, luminous dot markers and luminous set hands, C83 movement, no. 10810xx, the case with fixed bar lugs, the case back with issue markings '/ W.W.W M1518x', case serial no. 11341xx, 35mm. 'The Dirty Dozen' - During WWII the MoD ordered custom-built wristwatches from 12 Swiss watchmakers: Buren, Cyma, Eterna, Grana, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Lemania, Longines, IWC, Omega, Record, Timor and Vertex. Box and Papers - no box or papers. Movement - appears currently functioning. Dial - original dial with surface wear and marks as expected - see images. Glass - light marks as expected. Hands - nice patina with marks and wear as expected for the period. Case - light marks but generally good - see images. Crown - adjusts correctly. Strap/Bracelet - no strap or bracelet.
