(history outline) From the collaboration with Ferdinand Porsche and iwc comes this second chronograph model . This is the early 1980s and the project is definitely ahead of its time. Use of materials not yet known for watchmaking such as aluminum with pvd treatment and black "Derlin" composite bracelet. The "ufo" case with recessed chronograph buttons and the type of bracelet are also unique novelties. It will not meet with much success; very technical, peculiar watch; the market of the time were not yet ready to receive it, unique, rare. (description) The composite bracelet has suffered the signs of its use such as wear and discoloration, as can be seen in the pictures. The case, on the other hand, has retained its treatment perfectly and has no notable marks or scratches. Dial is still perfect, no flaws on the graphics, hands slightly tacked, hour markers with tritium tacked but still present; slightly reflects the light in the early night hours. Sapphire crystal perfect even at the lens. Given the design of the flush-mounted pushers on the case, almost 40 years later, the 'water resistance of this watch can no longer be guaranteed. Excellent mechanics, based on Valjoux 7750 customized and revised by iwc parent company; Over the years it has not suffered any water infiltration or condensation, fully serviced and guaranteed 2 years for its proper functioning.
