For the present example, the IW3241 Mark XII, IWC used the simple but beautiful design of the Mark XI and added a date window at 3 o’clock. Without the budget constraints of military organisations, they also upgraded the movement. The Cal. 884/2 was used — essentially a branded JLC 889/2 — a legendary movement in itself. The watch is in superb condition. The dial is clean, as are the hands, with no lume loss on the markers. The lume has aged to a rich creamy patina, which looks awesome on these neo-vintage IWCs. The case shows some signs of past polishing but remains even and full. It comes with its original IWC black calfskin strap with signed tang buckle. We have also paired it with an olive calfskin strap, which is included. The watch came to us in perfect health. The movement is running at +1 s/d, 300 amps, with a 0.0 ms beat error.
