However, it was also the year the Big Pilot’s Perpetual Calendar “Rodeo Drive” was released. The color combination takes its inspiration from the original colors of the 2015 limited edition time-only Big Pilot specifically made for the opening of the back then new boutique in Beverly Hills. Limited to 250 pieces, it introduced a very attractive and new colour scheme, with a black ceramic case and a blue dial.
- Based on the same Black-and-Blue concept, the present Big Pilot’s Perpetual Calendar showcases a perpetual calendar display, matte ceramic finishing and non-coated metal crown, the whole combination gives to the timepiece a very utilitarian and stealth-looking appeal.
- Featuring slimmer proportions compared to the Top Gun counterpart, the case of the present Perpetual Calendar Rodeo Drive measures 46.5mm in diameter. The dial showcases a stunning and captivating sunburst metallic blue that seamlessly works with the matte black case.
- Inside the timepiece is made alive thanks to the calibre 52615, which is part of those new generation of movements introduced in 2015 by IWC. Improved and refined, the movement now relies on a twin-barrel energy release mechanism for better torque management.
- Preserved in excellent condition, the present Big Pilot’s Perpetual Calendar “Rodeo Drive” is further accompanied by its full set of accessories.
