In 2013, IWC Schaffhausen introduced the Big Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar Top Gun Boutique Edition, reference IW502903, a flagship model sold exclusively through the brand’s own boutiques. Limited to 250 pieces, it combines the proven Grand Pilot’s Watch architecture with the perpetual calendar designed by Kurt Klaus, which requires no manual correction until 2100.
The 48-mm case made of black ceramic is scratch-resistant and pleasantly lightweight; the case back and crown are made of titanium. Inside, the Manufacture Caliber 51614 with Pellaton winding and a seven-day power reserve keeps time. The red hour markers and hands on the black dial are the hallmark of this edition—inspired by the cockpit instruments at the U.S. Navy’s Top Gun school.
The watch is in good condition with signs of wear typical for its age. The set includes the original IWC watch box, warranty card (Wempe 12/2014), warranty booklet, instruction manual, glass tube with year markers, and a service receipt (IWC 06/2016). Highlights at a glance
