Inspired by modern stealth weaponry, its 43.8mm case is made from black zirconium oxide ceramic, making it incredibly durable and scratch-resistant, but in classic IWC style, the crown and caseback are titanium, to give the watch a hardy, “tool” look. For protection against magnetic fields, the watch includes a soft-iron inner case. One of the most legible dials on the market, the oversized hands and markers are white and luminescent, against a matte black background, with just the “TOP GUN” logo providing a splash of red. The green textile strap is equipped with the integrated EasX-CHANGE system, allowing the wearer to change the strap quickly and without tools, and the watch, although large, is more wearable overall when compared with other even bigger pieces in the Big Pilot collection.
