This bold 44mm stainless steel dive chronograph combines professional-grade functionality with striking Cousteau aesthetics: a deep oceanic blue sunburst dial, bright orange chronograph seconds hand, and the legendary Calypso ship engraved on the caseback beneath Cousteau’s signature. Built for real diving, it features IWC’s SafeDive unidirectional rotating bezel with an internal/external system operated by the left-side crown (patented for maximum safety), 300m water resistance, screw-down crown, and a massive luminous display using Super-LumiNova® on hands, indices, and bezel pip. The in-house modified Calibre 89365 automatic chronograph movement (52 jewels, 28,800 vph) offers flyback function, 68-hour power reserve, date at 3 o’clock, and a soft-iron inner cage for anti-magnetic protection.
