Featuring a case back engraving depicting the "Commandant" Jacques Cousteau with his trademark beanie. Case: Brushed stainless steel case with polished beveled corners. Blue dial. Polished hands with luminous fill. Applied polished hour markers with luminous fill. Fine printed minutes/seconds track. Day & date window at 3 o'clock. Small seconds sub-dial at 9 o'clock. • Chronograph function: • Large orange tipped central seconds hand counter • 30 minute counter sub-dial at 12 o'clock. • 12 hour counter sub-dial at 6 o'clock. • IWC SafeDive system bezel: • The IWC SafeDive system ensures that the internal bezel can only be adjusted in an counter-clockwise direction. • The external bezel ring operates the diving scale ring located beneath the crystal. This interaction is accomplished via a 'sliding clutch system' while maintaining the water resistance integrity of the watch. The sliding clutch system is fitted with a polished protective cover located on the case edge at the 9 o'clock position. • Diving scale on the dial flange beneath the crystal. Strap: Fitted on its original IWC black rubber strap with a stainless steel tang buckle. The strap is in excellent, near new condition with the majority of it wear lifespan remaining. We would be comfortable rating the strap as in 96%+ condition. Movement: Powered by an IWC calibre 79320 (base ETA 7750), beats at 28,800 vph (4Hz), with 25 jewels & has a power reserve of +/- 44 hours. Condition: In excellent near-new overall condition. We have had this watch lightly polished to remove most signs of wear. We would be comfortable rating this watch as in 97%+ overall condition. Delivered in its original box & with all original papers.
