These watches were a colossal 55mm in diameter with highly legible dials, and featured pocket watch movements converted to central seconds. In 2002 IWC launched the Big Pilot reference 5002 which was every inch a modern day 'B-Uhr'. The watch was 47mm in diameter and featured the same dial design as it's 1940's predecessor with an added 8 day power reserve. The reference 5002 was produced until 2006 and was made in stainless steel and a limited edition in platinum.
