In the world of vintage chronographs, there is one brand that consistently ranks among the most influential, and it is none other than Heuer. Founded in 1860 by Edouard Heuer, who registered a patent for his own chronograph movement in 1882, the brand's credentials are unquestionable. While brands such as Rolex and Omega often refer to the chronograph, it was Heuer that laid the foundation upon which other brands have built. One such model that Heuer used to build this structure is the ref. 345. Released in the early 1940s, ref. 345 predates the names of the models for which Heuer was known, such as the Monaco and the Carrera. In the 1930s, Heuer was well versed in creating two-register pilot's chronographs. in the mid-1940s, Heuer decided to switch to three-register timepieces with ref. 345, to meet the needs of those who needed additional functionality. to this end, Heuer equipped ref. 345 with the rare Valjoux cal. 71 movement. Stunning dial slightly turned black-brown with Arabic hour markers. Case measures 36 mm excluding the coron and 44 mm between the lugs.
