Heuer Carrera 110.573F Fume Dial

Produced during the mid-1970s, the Heuer Carrera ref. 110.573F represents a striking evolution of Jack Heuer’s legendary chronograph design. Originally introduced in 1963 as a clean and highly legible motorsport chronograph, the Carrera underwent a dramatic stylistic transformation during the 1970s as Heuer embraced the bold case shapes and automatic chronograph technology of the era. Powered by the Calibre 12 automatic movement — itself descended from the groundbreaking Project 99 consortium that helped introduce one of the world’s first automatic chronograph movements — the ref. 110.573F combined technical innovation with distinctly modern styling. Featuring a fumé dial, integrated tonneau-shaped case, and bracelet supplied by NSA, the watch perfectly captures the experimental and highly expressive aesthetic that defined Heuer during the decade. Brand: Heuer Model: Carrera Reference: 110.573F Movement: Automatic Calibre 12 Dimensions: 39mm Material: Stainless steel Bracelet: NSA stainless steel bracelet Year: 1975 Dial Color: Fumé grey Condition: Excellent The fumé dial features a graduated grey finish that darkens toward the outer edge, giving the watch a dramatic and highly period‑correct appearance. Applied hour markers and contrasting grey chronograph subdials create excellent visual balance, while the date aperture positioned at six o’clock maintains the symmetry of the display. The stainless steel case retains its original sunburst finishing, emphasizing the sharp angular geometry characteristic of Heuer’s 1970s Carrera models. Measuring 39mm in diameter, the tonneau‑shaped construction offers strong wrist presence while integrating seamlessly with the period NSA bracelet. The case is additionally stamped “52,” identifying the Swiss authorized dealer or distributor through which the watch was originally sold.
