Description

Rare, Highly Special and Large, Count-Down World Time GMT Chrono-matic, Wristwatch in Steel, With Khanjar Logo, Reference 141001-3 Model: Count-Down World Time GMT Chrono-Matic Reference: 141001-3 Case Material: Stainless Steel Bracelet Material: Stainless Steel Year: 1970's Movement: Manual Caliber: 141 Dimensions: 48 mm Signed: Dial, Movement and Case The present lot is a remarkable and historically significant Hamilton Count-Down GMT Chronomatic. Featuring a substantial 48 mm case crafted from stainless steel with a satin brushed finish, it remains in good condition. The case includes two crowns for rotating the 24-hour and time-zone bezel rings, paired with a steel bracelet. The watch houses a movement that resulted from a joint development by Breitling, Heuer, and Buren, aiming to be the first to produce an automatic chronograph. Hamilton then modified this movement to create the caliber 141, which powers this model. The black dial is distinguished by the rare Khanjar logo at the 6 o’clock position, a highly coveted feature for collectors.
