A Hamilton 'Masterpiece', 10k Gold Wristwatch, Equestrian Interest Mid 20th century, a hand winding Hamilton wristwatch in a 10k gold case with horned lugs, the dial with small seconds and applique numerals and dot indices. The back of the watch has an inscription with equestrian interest: "George D. Widener, Director / 1939 - 1966 / E.S.B." Dimensions: 32.5mm in diameter, lugs are 17mm in width, lug to lug is 40mm, the total approximate gross weight of the watch is 14 dwt. Provenance: From a local collection. Condition Good condition, minimal surface wear to the case, the dial shows some surface wear near the small seconds as pictured, the watch currently runs.
