The watch is not running and is being sold AS-IS, for repair or parts , or for its gold value. I have not opened or serviced the movement beyond taking photos. It may need a full cleaning/overhaul or parts. Sold AS-IS , no returns for mechanical issues. Cosmetic: Case shows normal wear, small scratches, and marks consistent with age. Dial shows patina, discoloration, and spotting from age (see photos). Crystal has scratches and haze. Speidel band shows wear and some grime in the links. Please review all photos carefully as they are part of the description and show the exact watch you will receive. Gold Information Case is marked 14K and is solid gold , not gold-filled or plated. Total weight of the watch with band on my scale is approximately 53 grams (weight is for reference only and not guaranteed for melt). Notes This is a nice example of a late 1940s–early 1950s Gruen Veri-Thin with the desirable 430 movement and a solid 14K case. Great candidate for restoration by a watchmaker or for someone who wants a period-correct gold dress watch.
