With a daily deviation of between -3/+5 seconds, it was more accurate than Swiss chronometer testing, which was -1/+10 seconds per day. Launched in 1968, Grand Seiko debuted the automatic cal. 6145, a hi-beat movement with a blisteringly fast 36000 BPH, that would go on to be fitted within several of their watches, one of which being the watch that we have here, the Grand Seiko Hi-Beat ref. 6145-8000.
