Very good, slightly worn. Dial Grayish pink, textured. Very good. Movement Automatic. Very good, capable of running, cleaning recommended. This timepiece is a contemporary reinterpretation of the renowned Reference 62GS from 1967. The 62GS was not only Grand Seiko's first watch with an automatic movement, but also the first watch to express the design language of the Grand Seiko style, alongside the Reference 44GS, which was released in the same year. This style continues to characterise all Grand Seiko designs to this day. Like its predecessor, this modern reinterpretation features the characteristic sharp edges and perfectly structured surfaces. Looking at the textured dial with its delicate pink colour, one feels a strong association with Hana-Ikada, the popular scene shortly after the spring equinox, Shunbun. In this scene, cherry blossom petals scattered by the wind cover the surface of a river.
