Grand Seiko 44GS 4420-9000

44gs Grand Seiko, overhauled, 4420-9000, early model, manual winding.

I bought it intending to wear it with suits, and it was returned to me in February after being overhauled. The crystal and mainspring have been replaced with new ones. Since I commissioned a watch from a long-established, privately owned watch shop in town, there are no documents such as a warranty. This is an earlier model with the DIASHOCK logo. The crown doesn't have the GS mark, but I bought what's supposed to be an original part on Yahoo Auctions. I bought it in advance with the intention of replacing it during the next overhaul. The dial is clean with no corrosion or discoloration. The hands and indices appear to have some scratches. The GS medallion on the back is also in excellent condition with no corrosion. The case has scratches and other wear commensurate with its age. When I purchased it, the glass crystal was also quite scratched, so I don't think it has been polished. The leather strap was cracked on the back, so I discarded it, but I had an unused strap on hand, so I attached that instead. Please consider it as a bonus. I also purchased and installed an aftermarket see-through case back. I lightly wiped the main unit with San-A Pearl. Due to the high price, we regret that we cannot accept returns or exchanges to prevent fraudulent returns.
