Together, they have made a series of watches that incorporate the specialties of both: top quality porcelain and beautifully made watches., Although Meissen is more than 300 years old and Glashütte Original is just 30, their design languages perfectly emerge on this timepiece. Classical, yet up to date., But what is it, that makes this porcelain dial so special, and why is it that we are so rarely presented with them? The short answer is that it is because of the difficulty of production. The porcelain must be carefully fired in an oven between 1,200–1,400 degrees Celsius and then hand painted. According to the website Deployant, this particular dial takes 8–10 hours to paint., This is one of those watches that only gets better the closer you get to it.
