Unlike the legendary watch designer Gerald Genta, who designed outstanding creations for various watch brands, it was Natalini who came up with the designs for the Laureato. His sketches showed an architectural foundation, including facades and domes, as well as a precise distribution of visual weight in the structure of the watch. The watch was christened "Laureato" at the suggestion of Girard-Perregaux's Italian distributor, in reference to the iconic 1967 film "The Graduation" ("Il Laureato" in Italian). Inside the Laureato is a precise and reliable automatic movement developed by Girard-Perregaux.
