Rare Gigandet Datora Triple calendar chronograph with an eye-catching black PVD case. The contrast between the black and white dates surrounding the black dial and orange date indicator remind of a casino roulette. Breitling - Wakmann - Gigandet Datora. Charles Gigandet - Breitling in the fine version with an extraordinary design with an high-quality column wheel movement Valjoux 730 beating at 21'600bph, the later version of the Valjoux 72C with a beating rate of 18'000bph. For a long time only very high-quality Breitling watches were sold in America under the name Wakmann-Gigandet. Wakmann was the general importer of Breitling watches in America. Since 1951 they sold these watches under the name Wakmann or Gigandet. Charles Gigandet was the name of a watch manufacturer based in Tramelan, Switzerland. Charles Gigandet was also a manufacturer of screw-down cases that Breitling among others could not produce themselves in high quality.
