F.P. Journe Octa Reserve de Marche ref. A “38mm, Platinum, Gold Movement”

Up for grabs is an F.P. Journe Octa Reserve de Marche “RDM” Reference A with 38mm platinum case. This is a 2004 production batch case watch, during the year when brass was replaced with gold movements, so a very early example. This movement is Cal. 1300-2, which would be considered as a transitional movement with bi-directional winding system. After about 2 years of production, Journe updated it to caliber 1300.3, which used a uni-directional winding. White gold (grey) dial is in excellent condition without oxidation or patina. Being an early watch, the dial still remains with grainy texture, though no longer shimmers. Excellent used condition without any dings, dents, or deep/notable scratches. The watch comes complete with FPJ boxes, manual, and original warranty card, originally purchased in Japan.
