ETERNA Chronograph circa 1940 Case: Steel, pressure caseback. Dial: Black lacquered, luminous Arabic numeral indexes, luminous hands. Movement: Mechanical Eterna 703 column wheel. Strap: Leather Diameter: 35mm Dial, case, movement, signed, numbered. The Dr Girard & Schild movement factory was founded in 1856, and later took the name Eterna. In 1932, the company split into Eterna for watches and ETA for movements. The chronograph offered in steel is equipped with the Eterna 703 caliber equipped with the famous "column wheel" movement, Valjoux 22.
