Enicar Sherpa 144-37-01

Description

Enicar Sherpa Divette - Unpolished - Rare - Vintage - 1960s

When discussing the best dive watches of the 1950s-1960s, the conversation can’t be had without Enicar. The Sherpa Divette is as good as it gets for a mid-size diver. At 36mm combined with a wide-set flat bezel, we think it wears slightly larger, but screams vintage better than the full-sized Sherpa Dive, Sherpa Ultra Deep, or the Sherpa Diver 600. This well-preserved example has a beautiful aged dial, and hands. Note that the watch was sourced from a serious Enicar collector and scholar. We currently have several other pieces from his collection in our inventory. CONDITION REPORT Dial: Excellent with gorgeous luminous plots which match the hands. Part of the 5 o-clock plot is missing but doesn't distract much. Bezel: Nicely preserved showing light wear consistent with age. Hands: Are matching with beautifully aged tritum. Case: Extremely sharp and appears unpolished. Light tool marks and honest signs of use. Caseback markings are all still clearly visible. Correct signed crown. Crystal: Mostly clear. There is a light ding near the dial logo. SPECIFICATIONS Reference: 144-37-01 Serial: 106XXXX Dimensions: 36mm wide, 19mm lug width. Movement: AR1145 caliber (24 jewels w/42 hour power reserve) Accessories: Two piece leather strap in brown to match the tritium patina. All functions of the watch operate flawlessly. The movement is running well on our timegrapher and comes with our 1-year mechanical warranty.
