Enicar Sherpa Graph 072-02-01

Description

1968 Enicar Sherpa Graph Mark IV Ref. 072-02-01

A Sherpa Graph with a stunning reverse panda dial, beautifully aged tritium, and the Valjoux 72 automatic movement. The Sherpa Graph was produced by Enicar in the 1960s and existed in several different versions and dial configurations throughout the decade. The watch became popularized by British Formula 1 driver Jim Clark, who was often seen wearing a Sherpa Graph. This particular version is a Mark IV, the last series of Sherpa Graphs that Enicar produced. Case: The case retains great definition throughout including the beautifully bevelled lugs. There are no major scratches or dings. The caseback engravings are clear, sharp, and deep, probably due to the clear sticker protecting them over the years. ‍ ‍ Dial, Hands, & Crystal: The dial is in very good condition and the trititum has aged to a nice golden hue on both the hands and hour plots. The crystal is clean with plenty of life left to give. ‍ Bracelet/Strap: The Enicar-signed bracelet, likely not original to this particular reference, shows hardly any wear or stretching. Timing: The watch has been manually observed over a 24-hour period and appears to be running normally. ‍ Functions: All functions including the crown-winding, time-setting, and chronograph start/stop/reset are working as expected. ‍ Service History: None.
