Enicar Sherpa Super Jet GMT Mk2 - w/Unique Provenance - Vintage - 1960s

This particular Super Jet example circa late 1960s - early 1970s comes from a passionate North American Enicar collector and scholar, and prior to that, it was featured within Martijn van der Ven’s preeminent book Enicar: Time For A Change. It can be seen within the celebrated book’s first edition towards the acknowledgement section. (Refer to photos). The most recent collector actually contributed to the Enicar book but has decided the time has come for the watch to find a new home. We are thrilled to offer this piece which is not only a gorgeous example but undoubtedly one of the more historically significant Jets to come to market. CONDITION REPORT Dial: All of the tritium luminous plots are present and full. They have aged into a warm patina. There is a small age dot above the "a" in "Sherpa." Hands: Have been color matched by a top watchmaker. Case: Appears to have been lightly polished previously. The lugs are still sharp and even in proportion. Engravings on back are still visible. Correct signed crowns. Bezel: No significant dents or dings. Crystal: Clear. SPECIFICATIONS Reference: 148-35-03 Dimensions: 40mm wide, 20mm lug width. Movement: Automatic AR 1146 caliber (24 jewels). Accessories: Two piece leather strap in taupe with quick release. All functions of the watch operate flawlessly. The watch was overhauled by one of our watchmakers. The movement is running well on our timegrapher and comes with our 1-year mechanical warranty.
