HISTORY OF THE BRAND:
the Elgin National Watch Company,
founded in 1864 in Elgin, Illinois, became a giant in American watchmaking by mass-producing high-quality, interchangeable-parts watches, starting with the famous B.W. Raymond movement in 1867. Known for precision and "Thoroughly American" production, they thrived through the pocket watch era, shifted to crucial military instruments during WWII (like chronometers and bomb sights), and remained dominant until closing in 1968, leaving a legacy in timekeeping and precision manufacturing.
Here we have a pure watch from the 1960s era, in black dial with amazing rectangular shape, that remembers to the beta-21 models. Deep black dial.

Watch has minimal scratches due to being vintage in case, bezel, caseback and crystal. . nothing to worry about.
