This vintage Elgin Shockmaster Bumper Automatic 6804 is an extremely rare, all-American-made timepiece from the 1950s, featuring Elgin’s renowned in-house 618 bumper automatic movement. A true collector’s gem, this watch embodies the essence of mid-century military style, built for durability and precision. - Bumper Automatic Movement (Elgin 618) - Unique sector dial with spider-leg style case design - Case width: 34.5mm (excluding crown); 37mm with crown - Lug-to-lug: 43.5mm; case thickness: 11mm - Stainless steel case and caseback - Original hands with red arrow second hand - Stainless steel bracelet (used condition) Condition: This watch is in amazing vintage condition with no visible scratches on the crystal. The dial shows slight fading on a couple of markings (see pics) but is otherwise in excellent condition; no discoloring, scratches, etc. The case and caseback are in great condition, preserving its vintage appeal. While the inside of the bracelet shows some corrosion, it is not visible when worn and functions perfectly. The bumper automatic movement runs strong. Not tested for timekeeping accuracy. This rare, original Elgin Shockmaster is perfect for any vintage or military watch collector looking for a distinctive piece of American watchmaking history!
