Eberhard & Co. Pre-Extra Fort "Split" A stainless steel split seconds single button chronograph wristwatch with slide lock mechanism, Breguet numerals, mirror chapter ring and snail scale, Circa 1940 Dial: silvered Calibre: mechanical, jewelled Movement number: 17'302 Case: stainless steel, snap on case back Case number: 1'000'034 Closure: green unsigned leather strap and stainless steel buckle Size: 40 mm diameter Signed: case, dial and movement Accessories: none The present watch is truly intriguing with a rarely seen split seconds chronograph complication. Its start, stop, and reset functions are all managed by a single button integrated into the winding crown. The upper pusher activates the split-seconds function, allowing measurement of multiple timeframes. Appearing as if a reset button, the lower pusher is actually a sliding piece which can be used to lock the chronograph to prevent sudden activation. Fitted with an enigmatic snail dial, the present lot represents the technical know how of Eberhard in the 40s. The watch is presented in exceptional overall condition with wonderful mirror chapter ring and Breguet numerals. 依百克 Pre-Extra Fort "Split" 精鋼追針單按鈕計時腕錶,備鎖定功能、寶璣時標、鏡圈及蝸牛刻度,約1940年製
