Description

Doxa Sub 300 Professional "Thin Case"

watch case: Stainless steel, number 6629069, screw-down case back, screw-down crown, unidirectional rotating bezel, width approx. 42.5 mm movement: Automatic, lever escapement, Caliber 118 (based on ETA 2472), 21 jewels dial: Orange, luminous markers, date, central seconds accessories: Adjustable stainless steel folding clasp In 1967, Doxa introduced the Sub 300 as a professional diver’s watch featuring a “No Decompression” rotating bezel, on which the “zero time” critical for divers can be read directly. The orange dial remains highly legible even in murky water. This watch comes from the first series, produced in limited quantities, featuring a flatter case than the successor models. For this reason, collectors coined the term "Thin Case" for this reference. This watch is equipped with an original "Expandro" strap. Bezel inscription partially worn away, automatic winding mechanism sluggish; servicing recommended.
