"Urania" was the in-house brand of the traditional company Huber in Munich. In 1856, Andreas Huber founded the watch business and later also catered to the Bavarian fairy-tale king Ludwig II. In 1912, the Huber company was awarded the title "Hofuhrenfabrik" by the Bavarian Prince Regent, and later was allowed to call itself "Ehem. Königlich Bayerischer Hofuhrmacher".
