Daniel Roth C187 Regulateur Tourbillon White Gold

An exemplary piece of early independent horology, this Daniel Roth Tourbillon C187 dates from the brand's formative "solo-era" (1988-1994) and is considered one of Daniel Roth's most significant creations. It encapsulates the watchmaker's distinctive design language, blending classical high-horology codes with innovative design. Case: The watch features the iconic Daniel Roth "double-ellipse" (ellipsocurvex) case, an instantly recognizable design that offers a unique and ergonomic fit. The case material is typically (18-Carat) White gold, measuring approximately 35mm in width by 38-41mm in length. The lugs are characteristically welded to the case, a mark of traditional craftsmanship. Dial: The exquisite dial is crafted from solid gold and adorned with fine, hand-executed guilloché engraving, often in a vertical "lignes" or pinstripe pattern. It features a satin-brushed silver chapter ring with classic Roman numerals and blued steel, lance-shaped hands. Movement: Powering the watch is a highly modified manual-winding Lemania calibre 387 ébauche, a movement Daniel Roth helped develop during his time at Breguet. The one-minute tourbillon, visible at 6 o'clock through an aperture in the dial, is framed by a unique triple-seconds scale and features a three-arm hand of varying lengths that tracks 20-second intervals.
